Girls softball results

Here are the results of Minor League and Major League softball games played Thursday night at Lakeview Park.


Minor League
Optimist 10, Staxx BBQ 5

Peyton Sutton, Bailee Dowler and Syhia Marks each hit two singles each for Frankfort Optimist, Peja Robinson hit a double, and Jaylin Muravchick, Valorie Mobley, Shelby Rhoades, Mollie Cox, Marija Bickers and Alijah Starks each hit a single.


Marks, Sutton, Dowler and Muravchick pitched.


Getting hits for Staxx were Madison LeCompte with two singles, and Chaeli Evans, Regan Gregory, Savanna Boone, Brianna Dillon and Vanessa Jones each with a single.


LeCompte and Miranda Nesselrode pitched.


MainSource Bank 5, VFW 3

Getting hits for MainSource were Kaitlyn Luebbers and Shelby Smith with a double and single, Iyanci Jackson with a double, and Adyson Gatewood, Kristin Tucker, Lauren Crumbaugh, Anasia Webb and Gracie Mika with a single each.


Chaeli Evans, Savanna Boone, Madison LeCompte, Brianna Dillon and Miranda Nesselrode pitched.


Those with hits for VFW were Sarah Jones with two singles, Kayla Glanton with a double, and Julia Welsh and Amelia Wilson with a single each.


Welsh and Hailey Close pitched.


Major League
Johnson’s Body Shop 8,
FOP 5

Mallory Cornish hit a double and two singles for Johnson’s, Mariah Butler hit a double and single, and Montana Muravchick and Katy Redmon each hit a single.


Cornish and Butler pitched and had three strikeouts.


Those with hits for FOP were Taylor Boggs with a single.


Katie Banta and Mattie Hurst pitched and had eight strikeouts.


KECU 13, Investors 3
Getting hits for KECU were Trinity Peach with a double and two singles, Megan Wilhoite with a triple and single, Devin Popp with two singles, and Reagan West with a single.


Wilhoite pitched and had six strikeouts.


Getting hits for Investors Heritage were Amanda Boggs with a single.


Boggs pitched and had six strikeouts.


Hillcrest Baptist 19, McDonald’s 10
Those with hits for Hillcrest were Jamie Beason with a single and two triples, Darien Metts with three singles, Paige Young with a double and single, Katherine Caldwell, Aliyah Gay and Sidney Edwards with two singles each, Rachel Blevins with a double, and Chesna Stinnett and Grayson Strasburger with a single each.


Caldwell and Stinnett pitched and had seven strikeouts.


Getting hits for McDonald’s were Lexie Abbott, Savannah Tipton and Dakota Hopewell with a single each.


Abbott pitched and had two strikeouts.
