Boys golf: Flyers fall to Scott County

Published:

The Franklin County boys golf team suffered its first loss this season in CKC play Tuesday night against Scott County at Juniper Hill Golf Course. Scott County won with a combined team score of 150 to the Flyers’ 160.

Scott County’s Billy Tom Sargent was the medalist with a round of 34. FCHS’ Jacob Cook was second with a 37.

Will Molen shot a 39 for FCHS, followed by Will Harnice 41, Caleb Hughes 43, and Ben Nolan 44.

Despite the loss, the Flyers can still win the Eastern Division of the CKC with a win tonight against Sayre at Juniper Hill. This would put FCHS in the final pairing at the CKC Championship Saturday at Canewood Golf Course.
