Girls Golf: WHHS splits tri-match with FCHS and Boyle

Western Hills’ girls golf team split a tri-match with Franklin County and Boyle County Wednesday at Juniper Hill.

Boyle County won the match with a team score of 167, WHHS was second with 184, and FCHS was third at 232.

Boyle County’s Caroline McDonald was medalist with a one-under par 36.

Western Hills’ Megan Kinney was another stroke back with a 37. WHHS’ other scores were Hanna Raymer 48, Peyton Silva 49, and Sidney Cardwell 50. Raymer’s score was a personal best.

Taylor Cammack led the Lady Flyers with a 42.

The Lady Wolverines won a tri-match and FCHS defeated Mercer County last Wednesday at Juniper Hill.

Western Hills won the match with a score of 181, and the Lady Flyers were second with a 219. Mercer County came in third.

Kinney shot a one-under par 36 to lead WHHS, followed by Anna Hawkins 43, Ashley Stevens 49, and Silva and Raymer 53.

Cammack’s 46 led FCHS, and Hannah Robertson shot a 49.

Both Franklin County and Western Hills will be competing in the Madison Southern Invitational Saturday at Battlefield Golf Club.
