KENTUCKY STATE

Green and Gold Game

is tonight

Kentucky State’s football team will hold its annual Green and Gold Game tonight. The intrasquad scrimmage will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. Admission is free.

The Green and Gold Game is held annually on the Friday after classes begin at KSU, allowing students, faculty and staff, along with the community, to see the Breds in action prior to the start of the season. The game will feature two 15-minute periods with a brief intermission between the two periods.

“This game is our last test before what we do counts,” head coach Wayne Dickens said. “We have worked hard this preseason to correct the things that caused us to drop close decisions last year, and we are looking forward to our first test against Kentucky Wesleyan on September 8.”

The Thorobreds’ season opener is a home game against Kentucky Wesleyan at 7 p.m. Last year KSU defeated the Panthers 23-7 in Owensboro.
