Boys Soccer: WHHS routs Estill 10-0 in Berea Cup 1st round

The Western Hills boys varsity soccer team traveled to Madison County Saturday to play in the Berea Cup and won 10-0 against the Estill County Engineers. 

Scoring for the Wolverines were Adam Goss and Cory Johnson with three goals each, and Elma Nfor, Cory Rogers, Lalo Juarez and Jake Blackburn each with a goal. Nfor had five assists and Kodey Hickman had one assist.

“I was very pleased with how they handled the sloppy weather conditions,” WHHS head coach Daniel Cowan said. “They played really well and got a solid win.” 

The Wolverines improved to 10-0-1 and the Engineers fell to 0-6. 

WHHS returns to the Berea Cup tonight to play the Corbin Redhounds at 6. On Thursday and Saturday the Wolverines will play in the tournament against opponents to be determined later.
