Boys Soccer: Wolverines rout Corbin at Berea

The Western Hills boys varsity soccer team returned to Madison County Monday night to play in the Berea Cup. Playing at the Madison Southern soccer field, the Wolverines came away with a 6-1 win over the Corbin High School Redhounds.

Scoring for the Wolverines were Elma Nfor with two goals, Adam Goss with three goals, and Cory Johnson with one goal. Goalkeepers for WHHS were senior Will Davis and sophomore Andrew Bates.

“Another solid performance for the boys,” Western Hills head coach Daniel Cowan said. “We still have a lot of work to do in order to accomplish our goals, but they keep moving in the right direction and keep getting wins.”

The Wolverines improved to 11-0-1 and the Redhounds fell to 6-2-1.

The Wolverine varsity returns to the Berea Cup on Thursday and Saturday against opponents to be determined later.
