District tourney pairings are set
The pairings have been set for the 41st District volleyball tournament to be played Oct. 9-10 at Franklin County High School.
Woodford County is the No. 1 seed and has a first-round bye.
FCHS and Western Hills will play Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. with the winner advancing to the championship match Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Woodford County.
SOCCER
District tourneys are next week
The 41st District boys and girls soccer tournament will be played next week at Woodford County.
The tournament starts Monday, Oct. 8 with two games. Woodford County’s girls play Frankfort High at 6 p.m., followed by the Woodford boys team taking on FHS at 7:45.
The tournament continues with two games Tuesday.
The Franklin County and Western Hills girls teams will play at 6 p.m., and the FCHS and WHHS boys teams will play at 7:45.
The championship games will take place Thursday, Oct. 11 with the girls championship at 6 p.m. and the boys championship at 7:45.

WHHS’ Kinney at state tourney
