The Wednesday Ladies Day League held its annual Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Here are the winners for this year’s awards.
The winners in Match Play were:
First flight – Donna McNeil, winner; Judy Trigg, runner-up.
Second flight – Connie Goins, winner; Pam Rhodes, runner-up.
Third flight – Sue Wood, winner; Anne Hilen, runner-up.
Fourth Flight – Sharon Edwards, winner; P.J. Johnson, runner-up.

Elaine Butler, medalist
Sharon Edwards, overall low gross.
Championship Flight – first low gross, Donna McNeil; second low gross, Charlotte Nelson; first low net, Denise Wentz; second low net, Connie Goins; low putts, Aggie Hampton.

The most improved golfer based on the GHIN system was Denise Wentz.
The officers for next year will be Donna McNeil, chair; Michele Brown, co-chair; Susan Goins, secretary, and Mary Rhodes, treasurer.
League members not present at the Award Breakfast may pick up their prizes in the Pro Shop.

The Juniper Hill Wednesday Ladies League held its annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer step-aside scramble on Wednesday, Oct. 3 with 36 ladies participating.
The ladies donated $725 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support a cure for breast cancer.
The first low gross team winners were Elaine Butler, Denise Wentz, Judy Trigg and Sandra Shelton. The first low net team winners were Dawn Redmon, Dusty Nelson, Sue Wood and Carol Payton.
There was a tie for the team with the lowest putts between Charlotte Nelson, Anne Hilen and Shirley Wilhoite, and Connie Goins, Michele Brown, Charlotte Pyles and Barbara Terrell.
The “Good Sportsmanship Award” team award was given to Kathy Branham, Shirley Rogers and Sally Mooney.
The closest to the pin on hole No. 6 was Sandra Shelton. The closest to the pin on No. 10 on the second shot was a tie between Elaine Butler and Carol Payton.
Chip-ins were made by Charlotte Nelson, who had an eagle on No. 9, Carol Payton, Sandra Shelton, Connie Wiard and Sally Mooney.
