Wrestling: Flyers win team title at Seneca


LOUISVILLE – Franklin County’s wrestling team won the Seneca Invitational Saturday, placing first out of 12 teams. Pleasure Ridge Park took second place.

The Flyers had seven wrestlers win their weight classes – Corey Jacobs, 106-pound class; Marcus Bucerzan, 126; Roderick Agyeman, 132; Tevon Clay, 145; Frederick Agyeman, 152; Tighe Harrod, 160; and Erik Piña, 170. 

FCHS had six other wrestlers place in the top four – Kyle Perkins, second at 160; Mick Marshall, third at 138; Zach Spradlin, third at 195; Denwan Hall, third at 220; Aaron Valentine, fourth at 145; and Michael Mitchell, fourth in heavyweight class.

The Flyers will compete at the Lafayette Invitational Saturday.
