BASKETBALL

Knights of Columbus host free throw competition Jan. 27

The 2013 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition will be held Sunday, Jan. 27 in the Good Shepherd Elementary School Gym. This competition is open to boys and girls ages 10 to 14 as of Jan. 1, 2013 and will be separated for boys and girls of every age. Proof of age is requested.

The event is free and prizes are awarded. Registration begins at 2 p.m., and the competition starts at 2:30. Winners advance to district competition. For more information, call Alan Hamilton at 695-7290.

Panthers hosting classic Saturday

Frankfort High’s boys basketball team is hosting the DMD Data Systems Classic Saturday at F.D. Wilkinson Gymnasium.

The event will consist of three boys games starting at 1 p.m. when Riverside Christian takes on Henry County.

Woodford County and DeSales will meet at 3 p.m., and FHS will close out the classic with a game at 5 p.m. against Bourbon County.
