The Franklin County Flyers capitalized on three fumbles and two interceptions for a 46-13 victory over Western Hills Friday night at Benny Watkins Field.
Franklin County (2-0) scored first when Lorenzo McCaskell had a six yard carry for a touchdown with 10:28 to play in the first quarter. Zach Durham added the extra point kick.
Western Hills (1-1) tied the game when quarterback Nick Young connected on a 52-yard pass to Cody Williams with 3:42 remaining in the first. J.P. Isaacs added the kick.
It was the Flyers' show from there as Chris Roberts had a 65-yard run and McCaskell scored twice more on a 60-yard run and a 46-yard pass from Barrett Sanderson.
FCHS added scores from Isiah Lee on a 26-yard run, Malik Barnett off an interception return and Roberts caught a 7-yard strike from Sanderson.
Western Hills scored once more in the final minutes when Young threw ZhaVaughn Reed for a 36-yard touchdown pass.
