Franklin County's Chris Roberts rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns as the Flyers cruised to a 51-36 victory over Frankfort High Friday night at Sower Field.
The Panthers fell to 1-2, while Franklin County improved to 4-0 on the season.
Frankfort trailed 21-20 at the end of the second quarter and the Flyers wasted no time right out of halftime as Lorenzo McCaskell scored on the first play with a 63-yard run.
McCaskell finished the night with 146 rushing yards and three touchdowns, averaging 24.3 yards per carry.
The Flyers went on to score 21 unanswered points in the third quarter as the game got away from Frankfort.
Franklin County finished with 361 rushing yards compared to Frankfort's 41.
FCHS sophomore quarterback Barrett Sanderson completed 13-of-20 passes for 106 yards.
Frankfort sophomore quarterback Anthony Robinson went 20-of-38 for 270 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.
Franklin County hosts Beechwood 7:30 p.m. Friday at Benny Watkins Field, while Frankfort travels to cross-town rival Western Hills for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff Friday.
Franklin County's win gives the Flyers their fourth year in a row winning the city championship. They're now 8-0 in last four years against other city teams.
The Flyers won 46-13 over Western Hills on Aug. 30 at Benny Watkins Field.
