Here’s a look at UK’s 2014 signing class, with offense first and defense second, by position:

OFFENSE
Running Backs

Mikel Horton: 6-1, 223, West Chester, Ohio (Lakota West), four-star recruit, No. 3 prospect in Ohio, No. 12 RB in the nation. Averaged 6.8 yards per carry as a senior.

Stanley “Boom” Williams: 5-9, 190, Monroe, Ga. (George Walton Academy), four-star recruit, No. 8 prospect in Georgia, 16th best RB in the nation, gained 1,416 yards as a senior and 1,948 as a junior.

Quarterback
Drew Barker:
6-3, 217, Burlington, Ky., (Conner), four-star recruit, No. 1 prospect in Kentucky, completed 65.9 percent of his passes in high school, for 6,264 yards and 62 touchdowns.

Wide receivers
Dorian Baker:
6-3, 205, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, High, four-star recruit, good size and speed, 16th best prospect in Ohio, averaged 23.9 yards per catch as a senior.

Blake Bone: 6-5, 200, Woodruff, S.C. High, gives UK badly needed height at WR, four-star recruit, No. 9 best prospect in South Carolina, caught 72 passes for 1,247 yards as a senior.

Garrett Johnson: 5-11, 175, Winter Garden, Fla. (West Orange), three-star recruit, 84th best prospect in Florida. Good hands and quickness, had 49 catches for 1,187 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.

Thaddeus Snodgrass: 6-1, 180, Springfield, Ohio (Springfield), four-star recruit, No. 13 prospect in Ohio, 4.4 speed, great hands, great route runner, strong after the catch.

T.V. Williams: 5-10, 165, McKinney, Texas, High, Has Ryan Timmons-like speed, quickness and savvy. A big-time playmaker.

Linemen
Josh Krok:
6-8, 325, Niles, Ohio (McKinley), three-star recruit, No. 23 prospect in Ohio and No. 39 offensive tackle in the nation. Strong guy.

Jarrett LaRubbio: 6-6, 280, Middletown, Ohio (Lakota East), three-star recruit, No. 27 prospect in Ohio and No. 20 offensive guard in the nation. Physical and athletic, great run blocker.

Nick Richardson: 6-4, 270, Westerville, Ohio (Central), four-star recruit, No. 8 prospect in Ohio, great run blocker.

Jervontius “Bunchy” Stallings: 6-3, 320, Hoover, Ala., (Spain Park), three-star recruit, one of the top 20 centers in the nation and top 40 recruit in Alabama. Brother of former NFL star Tre Stallings.

Tight end
Darryl Long:
6-4, 225, Westerville, Ohio (South), three-star recruit, 19th best tight end in the nation and 33rd best prospect in Ohio. Good length and athletic.

DEFENSE
Linemen
Tymere Dubose:
6-5, 280, Youngstown, Ohio (Christian), three-star recruit, No. 40 prospect in Ohio and 33rd best strongside defensive end in nation. Good size and athleticism.

Matt Elam: 6-6, 380: Elizabethtown, Ky., (John Hardin), five-star recruit, No. 2 prospect in Kentucky. No. 13 defensive tackle in the nation. Second team All USA by USA Today. Needs to drop weight, but has outstanding size, power and athletic ability. Picked UK over Alabama and Notre Dame.

Cory “C.J.” Johnson: 6-3, 275, ASA (Junior) College, Brooklyn, N.Y., Led his juco team in tackles from a defensive tackle spot, which is unheard of. Formerly a four-star recruit. Chose UK over Miami of Florida and Texas Tech.

Adrian Middleton: 6-3, 275, Bowling Green, Ky., (South Warren), three-star prospect, No. 4 prospect in Kentucky. No. 55 defensive tackle in nation. Good athlete.

Lloyd Tubman: 6-5, 225, Louisville, Ky., (Seneca), has the size, range and attitude to star at UK. Cats lured him away from Penn State at the last minute. No. 3 prospect in Kentucky and No. 12 weakside defensive end in the nation. Led Seneca in tackles with 79 as a senior.

Denzel Ware: 6-2, 240, Crestview, Fla. (Senior), A lot of buzz around UK about Ware, a four-star recruit. No. 26 defensive end in the nation. He’s athletic, with great lateral range and speed. Quick first step.

Linebackers
Nico Firios:
6-2, 220, Longwood, Fla. (Lyman), four-star recruit, No. 19 linebacker in the nation. Aggressive, quick and fundamentally sound.

Ryan Flannigan: 6-3, 230, Missouri City, Texas (Blinn College), Juco linebacker with good size and athleticism. Three-star recruit. Also plays cornerback. Formerly a No. 11 prospect in Texas.

Dorian Hendrix: 6-foot, 230, Huber Heights, Ohio (Wayne), Had 126 tackles as a senior. No. 26 inside linebacker in the nation. Explosive, smart and competitive.

Kobie Walker: 6-3, 200, Olney, Md., (Our Lade of Good Counsel), three-star recruit, No. 17 prospect in Maryland, and No. 35 safety in the nation. Long and athletic.

Secondary
Mike Edwards:
5-11, 185, Cincinnati (Winton Woods), four-star recruit. No. 14 prospect in Ohio and 25th best safety in the nation. Explosive athlete, good tackler. Also good kick returner.

Kendall Randolph: 6-foot, 175, Tallahassee (Lincoln), four-star recruit. No. 48 prospect in Florida and No. 21 best cornerback in the nation. Strong fundamentally, with good instincts, and a great leader.

A.J. Stamps: 6-foot, 190, East Mississippi JC, Outstanding cover skills in junior college. Quick, fast and strong. Chose Kentucky over Ohio State.

Jared Tucker: 5-11, 170, Stone Mountain, Ga., (Stephenson), three-star recruit, No. 49 prospect in Georgia. Great speed. Chose UK over Ohio State and others.

Darius West: 6-foot, 200, Lima, Ohio (Central Catholic), four-star recruit. No. 9 prospect in Ohio and 18th best corner in the nation. Physical and fast, great instincts.
