Flyers fall to Anderson

LAWRENCEBURG — Franklin County closed out the regular season with a 67-56 loss to Anderson County Friday night.

The Flyers (14-11) were outscored 42-28 in the second half by the Bearcats (13-8).

Ryan Schneider led FCHS with 14 points. Rylan Rowe scored 12 and Demetrius Wylie added 11.

Rounding out the scoring for the Flyers were Lorenzo McCaskell with six, Matthew Lee with five and Sam Mackey and Chris Roberts with four apiece.

FCHS takes on Western Hills in the 41st District Tournament Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. at the Frankfort Convention Center.

TENNIS
Youth tennis meeting will be March 9

The Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department will hold an informational meeting about youth tennis March 9 at 3 p.m. in the Paul Sawyier Public Library’s Community Room.

This meeting will outline programs for players ages 5 to 18 for the entire spring, summer and fall seasons. Topics for discussion include Junior Team Tennis, new Tennis in the Schools initiatives, USTA matches, play dates and lesson and clinics.

This meeting is for current players of all levels and for kids who want to start playing tennis.
