DISC GOLF
Free clinics being offered

The Frankfort Disc Golf Association will offer two free clinics for beginning players Tuesday and April 15 at 6 p.m. at East Frankfort Park.
Players will learn the rules and terms of disc golf, practice driving and putting and play a round of disc golf with the instructors. 
The clinics, offered in cooperation with the Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department, are designed to help new players get a head start in learning a game the entire family can enjoy, said FDGA president Greg Resor.
All equipment will be provided. New players should meet at the picnic shelter at the top of the hill at 6 p.m. to get started.

YOUTH FOOTBALL
FYFL signups are April 12

The Frankfort Youth Football League will have signups for football players and cheerleaders April 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Capitol View Park.
Signups are open to children ages 5-10, and the cost is $100.

Danville slips
past Wolverines

DANVILLE — Danville’s baseball team scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 5-5 tie, handing Western Hills a 6-5 loss Tuesday in the Constitution Spring Break Classic.
WHHS (2-7) led 5-2 after six innings, but the Admirals came up with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to an extra inning.
The Wolverines had 11 hits, led by Tyler Anglin and Thomas Bennett with three hits apiece. Anglin hit two singles and a double, and Bennett singled three times.
The team’s other hits were a double by Jesse Howard and singles from Kyle Stevens, Kyle Fisher, Cameron Barton and Parker Jackson.
Fisher and Jackson both pitched three innings for Western Hills, and Zack Barker went 1 1/3 on the mound.
Mason Stamm went 4-for-4 with four singles
