Monica Combs golf scramble is April 25

The sixth annual Monica Combs Memorial Fundraiser will be April 25 from 6-11 p.m. at the Frankfort Country Club.
The golf scramble costs $400 per team or $100 per individual and includes greens fees, cart and dinner. There will be prizes for winners and contests throughout the day.
The dinner, dance and auction costs $50 per guest. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a buffet dinner with cash bar.
The Monica Combs Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and was created by Combs’ family and friends to provide financial assistance for the post-secondary education of students graduating from Woodford County High School.

PGA Jr. League teams forming
There will be sign-ups and informational meetings for a PGA Jr. Golf League team or teams in Frankfort/Franklin County.
The league is for players ages 9-13.
There will be a meeting Monday from 5-6 p.m. at Juniper Hill Golf Course For more information call Kirk Schooley at 875-8559.

The local team will have practices and matches against area teams in May and June.

Girls golf meeting set for April 14

There will be an informational meeting for the Franklin County High School girls golf team at 7 p.m. April 14 in the FCHS library.
Any Franklin County High School or Elkhorn Middle School student interested in playing girls golf at FCHS this summer and fall is encouraged to attend the meeting.

Quarterback Club selling mulch
The Franklin County High School Quarterback Club is selling black platinum premium hardwood mulch in 2.25 cubic foot bags at $5 per bag.
 The FCHS football team will spread the mulch for an additional $1 per bag. There is free delivery in Franklin County.
Bulk mulch is available at a cost of $25 per scoop if scooped into a vehicle at the high school or $35 per scoop if delivered to a home or business. Scoops can be spread by the team for an additional $25 per scoop.
Deliveries are April 12,19 and 26.

Free clinics offered at East Frankfort

The Frankfort Disc Golf Association will offer free two free disc golf clinics for beginning players Tuesday and April 15 at 6 p.m. at East Frankfort Park.
New players will learn the rules and terms of disc golf, practice driving and putting and play a round of disc golf with the instructors. 
The free clinic, offered in cooperation with the Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department, is designed to help new players get a head start in learning a game the entire family can enjoy, said FDGA president Greg Resor.
All equipment will be provided. New players can meet at the picnic shelter at the top of the hill at 6 p.m. to get started.

FYFL signups are Saturday

The Frankfort Youth Football League will have signups for football players and cheerleaders Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Capitol View Park.
Signups are open to children ages 5-10, and the cost is $100.

Football boosters selling mulch

The Western Hills High School Football Boosters are selling mulch. The cost is $5 per bag and $1 extra per bag to spread the mulch. Delivery is free.
The boosters are selling black platinum mulch in 2.25 cubic foot bags and premium cypress mulch in 2.0 cubic foot bags.
