Jarboe named athlete of the week at NKU

Dana Jarboe, a senior on the Northern Kentucky University softball team, was named an NKU athlete of the week for her performance last week.
Jarboe collected six hits, including three doubles, to lead the Norse offensive effort in games against Miami (Ohio) and Stetson last week. She began the week with a 2-for-3 performance with one double against the RedHawks, and she collected two of the three NKU hits on the day.
Jarboe followed that by going 2-for-2 and 2-for-3, respectively, from the plate as the Norse began a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference series against Stetson with a doubleheader Saturday at the Frank Ignatius Grien Softball Field. On the day, she collected a pair of doubles for NKU.
Jarboe is a graduate of Franklin County High School.
