Pro.Active for Life 5K set for May 9 downtown

Pro.Active Therapy’s Pro.Active for Life 5K will be May 9 at 6:30 p.m. and benefits the United Way of Franklin County and WeWannaPlay.

Registration is $20/person until May 8; on that day the price goes up to $25/person.

This year’s race will continue to have the annual School Challenge and give awards to both overall age group winners as well as age group winners who are first timers — those who have never (or not in the last five years) participated in a 5K or longer road race.

Late registration and race packet pickup will be at The Eclectic Mix, 306 St. Clair St., May 8 from 3-7 p.m. and May 9 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

The award ceremony will follow the race on Broadway and the Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe is having live music, featuring Josh Nolan at 7:15, followed by Triceratops Jackson at 8.
