Edwards signs with Midway’s archery team

Devon Edwards, 18, a senior at Western Hills High School, has signed with Midway College to be on the archery team.

Edwards has lettered in archery and volleyball at WHHS.

Parents: Tim and Sharon Edwards.

Plans to major in: education.

GPA: 3.97.

Selected school because: “This school felt like home right when I stepped on campus.”

Letters earned: archery and volleyball.

Chose school over: Georgetown and Morehead.

Honors earned: Beta Club, National Honor Society, Youth Salute.

Western Hills coach Kelly Carr: “Devon is a sweet young lady. She has been a joy to coach, and I wish her the best of luck at Midway.”

Midway College coach Cliff Tompkins: “I believe Devon will be a great asset to the Midway archery team. I am looking forward to training her to compete at the college level.”
