The pairings for the 11th Region baseball and softball tournaments were determined Thursday.
The baseball tournament will be played at Western Hills High School Monday through Wednesday.
The first round is Monday, and the opening game is Western Hills (16-13) vs. Henry Clay (19-18) at 10 a.m., followed by Tates Creek (30-6-1) vs. Berea (11-13), 1 p.m.; Madison Central (27-8) vs. Lexington Catholic (23-12), 4; and Franklin County (14-22) vs. Scott County (24-9), 7.
The semifinals will be Tuesday at 5:30 and 8 p.m. with the championship game set for 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The 11th Region softball tournament will be played at Bryan Station High School Monday through Wednesday.
Franklin County (27-8-1) is in the top half of the bracket and will play Henry Clay (16-12) Monday at noon. The other first-round games Monday are Madison Southern (21-7) vs. Lafayette (20-13), 10 a.m.; Dunbar (18-12) vs. Berea (13-14), 2 p.m.; and Scott County (25-8) vs. Woodford County (25-11), 4.
The semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday at 6 and 8 p.m., and the championship game will be Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Admission to the tournaments is $5.
