Bailey signs with G-town

Jimmy Bailey, 17, a senior at Franklin County High School, has signed a scholarship with Georgetown College to be an angler on the school’s bass fishing team.

Bailey lettered in bass fishing at FCHS.

Parents: Jamie and Tina Bailey.

Plans to major in: biology.

GPA: 3.5.

Selected school because: the small campus and classes. Close to home and family (alumni).

Honors earned: Virginia Covington grant worth $8,000.

Georgetown College angler Shawn Combs: “We at Georgetown College are looking forward to Jimmy joining the college and fishing team. He is going to be a great asset to the team.”
