Here are the results of girls softball games played recently.

Minor League
Capital City Trophy Jayhawks 7,
FOP Fighting Illini 3

Getting hits for Capital City were Riley Welch with a double and single, Hailey Close, Laken Ellis, Emma Stockton and Rylee Warner with two singles each, and Jadyn Gilreath and Alyssa Mathers with a single each.

Close pitched for Capital City Trophy.

Caitlin Wallace hit two doubles and a single for FOP, and Hannah Hazelett, Breanna Curtis and Meadow Curry each had a base hit.

Curtis pitched for FOP.

Peach Rental Rams 5,
VFW 4075 Yellow Jackets 2

Those with hits for Peach Rental were Annabelle Southworth with a double and single, Samantha Harrod with two singles, and Cate Bell, Isabella Barton and Abbie Hall with a single apiece.

Olivia Turner and Lacey Hockensmith pitched for Peach Rental.

VFW’s hits were singles — two by Anna Dooley, and one each from Sara Jones and Morgan Hamilton.
Hamilton and Gracie Thacker pitched for VFW.

CCU Sun Devils 8,
Investors Heritage Tigers 0

Jade Payne, Kaylee Redmon and Tatum Williams all hit two singles for CCU, Jade Smith hit a double, and Sadie Weaver, Macy Dungan, Allena Payne, Charlotte Barnett and Aubrey Moore each hit a single.
Dungan pitched for CCU.

Ellie Roberts and Janay Cook both singled for Investors Heritage, and Kylie Johnson pitched.

KECU Huskies 9, Graviss McDonald’s Razorbacks 3
Getting hits for KECU were Lauren Crumbaugh and Mykenzie Sharp with two singles each, Trinity Yett with a double, and Keeli Lightfoot, Maddax Gortney, Cameryn Riderkoff, Zoie Anglin, Angelina Milner, Savannah McGee and Averie Thress with a single each.

Crumbaugh pitched for KECU.

Annabel Young singled twice for Graviss McDonald’s, Olivia Ellis hit a double, and Jasmin Wheatley and Leah Ryles each had a base hit.

Wheatley and Ellis pitched for Graviss McDonald’s.

Hillcrest Baptist Church Crimson Tide 18,
Staxx BBQ Cowboys 6

Getting hits for Hillcrest Baptist were Melissa Nesselrode with a double and single, Peyton Sutton with a home run, Logan Amburgey with a double, and Kennadie Pritchett with a single.

Peyton Sutton and Taylor Amburgey pitched for Hillcrest and had five strikeouts.

Allegra Renfroe, Zania Tutwiler and Ayoina Mays-Clark all singled for Staxx BBQ.
Alijah Starks and McKenna Teasley pitched for Staxx and had one strikeout.

Johnson’s Body Shop Wildcats 3

Anna Woolums and Logan Amburgey both singled twice for Hillcrest Baptist, and Madison Close hit a single.

Peyton Sutton pitched for Hillcrest and had six strikeouts.

Madison Parido hit a double and single for Johnson’s, and Julianna Brough and Shelby Wilhite both singled.

Wilhite and Brough pitched for Johnson’s and had four strikeouts.

Graviss McDonald’s Bulldogs 21,
Optimist Tigers 9

Getting hits for Graviss McDonald’s were Chloe Hammond with a double and single, Kathryn Edwards with two singles, Grace Perkins with a home run, and Sarah Burriss and Taylor Redmon each with a single.

Burriss and Hammond pitched for McDonald’s and had five strikeouts.

Faith Lewis hit a double for Optimist, and Bailey Cardwell, Mackenzie Brooks and Courtney Stangle each hit a single.

Amanda Jones and Cardwell pitched for Optimist.

Staxx BBQ Cowboys 13,
KECU Hurricanes 12

Ayoina Mays-Clark, Grayson Strasburger and Iyanei Jackson all hit doubles for Staxx BBQ, and Kaylin Mullins and Zania Tutwiler each had a base hit.

Alijah Starks and Mullins pitched for Staxx and had one strikeout.

Kamryn Presley hit a double and single for KECU, Brooklyn Perry hit a double, and Carly Sutton hit a single.

Ellie Dales and Kadey Purvis pitched for KECU and had four strikeouts.
