Junior clinics July 22-25

PGA professional Kirk Schooley, the golf pro at Juniper Hill Golf Course, will be conducting junior clinics July 22-25.
The clinic for children ages 8-13 will be from 9-10:15 a.m. each day, and the clinic for children ages 5-7 will be from 10:30-11:45 a.m.

Dance Team golf scramble is Friday

The Franklin County High School Dance Team will host its annual golf scramble at Juniper Hill Golf Course Friday.
Lunch will begin at noon, and the scramble will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The cost is $45 per person with four people per team.
Golfers receive green fee, cart, lunch, $10 Golfsmith discount card and certificate for Lob Wedge and Hybrid club from Warrior Cart.
Hole-in-one prize packages available for challenge on par 3s include $15,000 cash prize, Apple entertainment center, a set of Callaway golf clubs and a $750 Visa gift card.
There will be cash prizes for first and second place teams.

Girls basketball camp is July 14-17
The Lady Flyer Basketball Camp will be July 14-17 at Franklin County High School from 8 a.m.-noon each day.
The cost is $70. Applications are available at FCHS, and campers may register the first day of camp.

Volleyball tryouts are July 16
Tryouts for the Franklin County High School volleyball team will be July 16 from 5-7 p.m. at the FCHS gym. There will be a pre-tryout practice opportunity July 15 from 6-8 p.m. 
A completed KHSAA physical and insurance form is required to try out.

Boys soccer tryouts are July 16, 18

The Western Hills boys soccer team will have tryouts July 16 and 18 from 3:45-5:15 p.m. at the WHHS practice field across from Bondurant Middle School.
Those trying out must have a completed KHSAA physical form.
WHHS is looking for an assistant coach for its boys soccer team. For more information contact head coach Emmanuel Nfor at 502-337-4494.

Football registration is July 14

Registration for students who want to play football for Elkhorn Middle School is on July 14 in the school theatre (enter through the school’s front doors). 
A nonrefundable $85 participation fee is due at the time of registration. Please make checks payable to Elkhorn Middle School football.
Everyone needs to bring a copy of a current athletic (KHSAA) physical in order to participate.
Parents will be asked to fill out a consent to play, equipment loss and contact information form at the time of registration.
Eighth-graders will register at 5:30 p.m., and sixth- and seventh-graders will register at 6:30.
The first practice will be July 15 from 6:30-8 p.m. Registration needs to be completed in order to practice.

Fall sports pool party is July 15

Frankfort High will host a fall sports pool party July 15 from 8-10 p.m. at Juniper Hill.
The football team and girls soccer team will have player/parent/coach meetings during this time.
