FCHS, WHHS girls teams start season at Shelby Co


The Franklin County and Western Hills girls golf teams opened their season Saturday in the Lady Rocket Classic, hosted by Shelby County High School at Weissinger Hills Golf Course.
WHHS’ Allison Harrod led the local golfers with a score of 98, and Cami Montgomery led FCHS with a 101.
Western Hills finished with a team score of 462. The team’s other scores were Emily Stevens, 102; Emily Hill, 124; and Christine McGaughey, 138.
The Lady Flyers shot 468. Following Montgomery were MacKenzie Cunningham, 116; Natalie Thomas, 118; and Madison Cunningham, 133.
Shelby County won the team title with a score of 334, and Sacred Heart was runner-up with a 339.
Henry Clay’s Kie Purdom was medalist with an even-par 72.
