Simon House scramble is Friday
The Simon Says: Swing Fore Simon House golf scramble is set for Friday at Juniper Hill Golf Course.
Each four-person team will play a scramble with an added Simon Says twist.
The cost per player is $65. For Juniper Hill members, the cost is $45. The registration fee includes lunch, a golf cart for the round and a goody bag.
Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Simon House, a nonprofit transitional living facility for homeless adult women who are pregnant or have children.
To register for the event, visit the Simon House website, www.simonhouseonline.org, and fill out a registration form. Forms can be faxed to 502-223-9808 or mailed to the Simon House, 208 W. Campbell St., Frankfort, KY 40601.
Civitan scramble set for Aug. 29
The JL Soyars Civitan Golf Scramble will be Aug. 29 at Juniper Hill Golf Course with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The cost is $50 per person and includes lunch, cart and green fees. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Franklin Co. baseball scramble Sept. 14
The Franklin County baseball team is hosting a scramble Sunday, Sept. 14 at Duckers Lake Golf Course.
The cost is $50 per person or $200 per team. The price includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, with a meal and awards to follow. All entries are due by Sept. 8.
Proceeds from this event will be used to update the facilities and equipment for the FCHS baseball team for the upcoming season.
Prizes will be given for first place, closest to the pin and long drive, and there will be a hole-in-one opportunity to win a free car.
Former University of Kentucky baseball coach Keith Madison will be the guest speaker at the awards ceremony.
