Ale-8-One is adding a new twist to its lineup.
Following in the success of its cherry flavored soda, Orange Cream Ale-8-One, only the second new flavor to be made in the company’s 93-year history, will be released this month in a small batch and for a limited time only.
The new soda will be available in certain Kentucky markets only, including Lexington, Elizabethtown, Bowling Green and southeastern portions of the state, according to the company.
“In 1902, my great-great-uncle Lee began producing flavored soft drinks on Main Street in Winchester. In 1926, he introduced Ale-8-One, a ginger and citrus soft drink, at the Clark County Fair,” said Fielding Rogers, the fourth-generation owner of Ale-8. “Four generations later, I still blend the secret recipe from his handwritten notes. Taking inspiration from Uncle Lee’s innovative spirit, we combined his secret Ale-8-One recipe with vanilla and orange to recreate a smooth, nostalgic soda — Orange Cream. I think he would approve.”
