The following calls were received by the Frankfort Police Department, Frankfort Fire and EMS and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday:

• A car burglary was reported at 6:09 a.m. on Lyons Drive. The caller reported that 75 cents was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

• A theft was reported at 7:46 a.m. on Ridgeview Drive.

• A theft was reported at 8:04 a.m. on Harrod Avenue. The caller reported that a couple of cars were broken into in the area. Nothing was taken. 

• A stolen vehicle was reported at 8:08 a.m. on Ashwood Court.

• A stolen vehicle was reported at 8:51 a.m. on Holmes Street.

• A theft was reported at 11:41 a.m. on River Bend Road.

• A drug offense was reported at 11:58 a.m. on U.S. 127 South. The caller reported finding a “plastic like baggy containing white powder” near the register at Cook Out restaurant. Officers reported the baggie did not contain drugs.

• A vandalism was reported at 1:37 p.m. on Ann Street.

• A fraud was reported at 1:41 p.m. on West Second Street.

• A sexual offense was reported at 1:43 p.m. on Imperial Avenue. The call was a referral made by social services staff to alert police of sexual abuse. No further information was provided.

• A theft was reported at 2:21 p.m. on North Lime Street. The caller reported that a subject stole several items from a property.

• A theft was reported at 2:40 p.m. on Senate Drive. The caller wanted to report an online scam.

• A structure fire was reported at 2:56 p.m. on Leestown Road. The caller reported seeing black smoke coming from somewhere around Duckers. Officers discovered a control burn in the area.

• Vandalism was reported at 2:58 p.m. on Harrodswood Road.

• A theft was reported at 3:30 p.m. on Equestrian Way. The caller's son's car had been broken into and the perpetrator stole his license.

• A theft was reported at 4:27 p.m. on West Second Street.

• A theft was reported at 5:45 p.m. on Belvoir Drive. The caller reported that someone stole a lawn mower off the front porch. It happened within the past two days.

• A hit-and-run was reported at 5:52 p.m. on Shelby Street.

• A structure fire was reported at 8:05 p.m. on Harrodswood Road. The caller reported that vegetable oil caught fire during cooking. The caller tried to put it out but made it worse. The apartment was filling with smoke. Before fire crews arrived, the burning pan was moved to an exterior deck and the caller extinguished the fire.

• A burglary was reported at 11:20 p.m. on St. Charles Street. The caller reported her dogs were upset and she saw someone in her backyard.
