Blotter

The following calls were received by the Frankfort Police Department, Frankfort Fire and EMS and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday:

  • An assault was reported at 4 a.m. on Virginia Avenue. The caller reported that five people “jumped on” the caller’s neighbor and left him with a knot on his head, scratches on his neck and abrasions on his hands. One person was arrested in connection with the altercation.
  • A fraud was reported at 8:46 a.m. to the police department on West Second Street.
  • A motor vehicle accident was reported at 9:58 a.m. on Duckers Road. No injuries were reported.
  • A child abuse was reported at 11:46 a.m. on West Second Street. Officials at Second Street School confiscated two phones that had “a lot of child pornography” on them. In addition to the police, a school counselor was also contacted.
  • A theft was reported at 11:50 a.m. on Logan Street. The caller reported that a weed trimmer was stolen out of his truck.
  • A drug offense was reported at 11:56 a.m. on East Main Street. The caller reported seeing “a drug deal being made” in an older-model Cadillac. Officers issued a BOLO, or “be on the lookout,” for the vehicle described.
  • An assault was reported at 1:09 p.m. on North Lime Street. The caller reported that a man assaulted her and walked toward a dollar store.
  • A burglary was reported at 1:20 p.m. on Buena Vista Drive. The 16-year-old caller said she believed someone was inside her home. Officers arrived and secured the house.
  • A missing person was reported at 2:22 p.m. on Wilkinson Boulevard. The caller reported that her husband “has been gone for 20 minutes” after getting out of their car during an argument.
  • A shoplifting was reported at 2:36 p.m. on U.S. 127 South. The caller reported that a woman was stealing from Dollar General, but she left.
  • A sexual offense was reported at 7:11 p.m. to the hospital on Kings Daughters Drive. The woman was in the emergency room and officers opened a sexual assault investigation.
  • A theft was reported at 7:27 p.m. to the police department on West Second Street. The caller reported she had keys and rings stolen from her while she was at the hospital.
  • A stolen vehicle was reported at 7:27 p.m. on Juniper Drive. The caller reported that a “broken down” vehicle had been taken from Crystalbrook Apartments.
  • A theft was reported at 7:46 p.m. on Louisville Road. The caller reported that a cellphone and six chargers were taken from a vehicle parked at Juniper Hills Apartments.
  • An intoxicated driver was reported at 8:07 p.m. on Versailles Road. The caller reported that a driver arriving at Speedway “could not even stand up or get her card in to pay” and was “knocking chips off the shelf.” She left in a pickup truck.
  • A burglary was reported at 9:08 p.m. on West Todd Street. The caller reported damage to the home’s door and said it appeared someone had been through the house.
  • A stolen vehicle was reported at 9:11 p.m. at Hickory Hills Apartments on Marlowe Street.
