Franklin County sheriff’s deputies say they discovered a large amount of crystal methamphetamine and a stash of cash after following up on tips about possible drug trafficking at a house on Grant Street Saturday evening.
Ari Jones, 40, of Oak Grove, and his girlfriend, Katie Breedlove, 25, of Hopkinsville, were charged in the case after deputies allegedly recovered about 30 grams of crystal meth and a large sum of money around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Jones was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams methamphetamine), second or greater offense, a Class B felony. He is currently on parole for drug trafficking offenses dating to 2015 in Franklin County. He also has a pending drug trafficking case in McCracken County. He is being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail on a $25,000 full cash bond.
Breedlove is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, more than 2 grams (methamphetamine), first offense, a Class C felony. She also has a possession of crystal meth case pending in Hopkins County. She is being held at FCRJ on a $10,000 full cash bond.
FCSO deputies, assisted by Constable Richard Sandifer, also executed a search warrant at 905 Grant St. and uncovered evidence of drug trafficking and possession. More arrests are likely in the case once it is presented to a grand jury, according to Sheriff Chris Quire.
