Summer Meals Program kicks off June 3

The Franklin County Summer Meals Program, which provides breakfast and lunch to all children younger than 18, will begin June 3 and run through Aug. 2.

From 8:30-9 a.m. Monday through Friday, breakfast will be offered at Bridgeport Elementary, 10 Doctors Drive, and Franklin County High School, 100 E. Main St. Both schools will also serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

On the west side of town, lunch will be offered at Juniper Hill Park, 800 Louisville Road, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and Woodside Park Apartments, 1335 Louisville Road, from 12:30-12:50 p.m.

Eastside lunch locations include: Country Hills Apartments, 565 Schenkel Lane, from 11-11:20 a.m.; Imperial Mobile Home Park, 116 Commodore Drive, from 11:25-11:45 a.m.; Centennial Drive, 255 Centennial Drive, from 11:50 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.; Prince Hall Village Apartments, 1100 Prince Hall Village, from noon to 12:40 p.m.; Capital Mobile Home Park, 5134 Georgetown Road, from noon to 12:30 p.m.; Raven Crest Apartments, 3201 Georgetown Road, from 12:20-12:40 p.m.; and Lakeview Park Splash Pad, 118 Park Ave., from 12:45-1:15 p.m.

There will be no meals on July 4. Adults may purchase a meal for $3.50.
