A local woman who is a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology earned the distinction of Faculty Honors during the spring semester. 

Caroline Orange was awarded the honors because she obtained at 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester, according to a press release. 

More than 32,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend the institute.
