Franklin County’s boys soccer team lost at Lexington Catholic Tuesday 3-1.

It was the season opener for both teams.

The Knights took a 1-0 lead 19 minutes left in the first half.

FCHS tied the game before halftime when Justin Castillo scored with a header off an assist from Drew Harrod.

Lexington Catholic took control with two goals in the first seven minutes of the second half.

The Flyers play their home opener Thursday against Thomas Nelson at Sower Soccer Complex.
