Western Hills’ boys 4x400-meter relay team finished sixth at the Class 2A KHSAA State Track Championships Saturday morning at the University of Kentucky.

Running on the relay team were Carlos Gonzalez, Josh Howard, Odell Hardy III and James Robertson.The Wolverines ran the race in a time  of 3 minutes, 33.69 seconds.

Western Hills’ girls 4x400-meter team of Emma Campbell, Carson Graves, Emily Harrod and Carrington Mumphrey finished 13th in 4:18.34.

The 4x400 relays were rained out Friday evening and run on Saturday before the Class 3A meet.

The WHHS boys team tied for seventh place in the team standings with Russell. Both teams had 26 points. Franklin County was 22nd with nine points. Boyle County won the team title.

On the girls side, FCHS tied three other schools for 14th place with 11 points, and Western Hills tied for 30th place with five points. Mercer County took the girls team title.
