The Frankfort Country Club awarded Emilie Hill the Bert Hawkins Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was awarded during the Hawkins Cup Golf Tournament, which benefits the Bert Hawkins Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was presented by Bruce Brown, Frankfort Country Club PGA Professional; Tom Majcher, President, FCC Club Board of Directors; and Fran Hawkins Wells representing the scholarship’s Board of Directors.

Hill is the daughter of Shauna and Chad Hill. She was a member of the Western Hills golf team for six years. She was a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club and DECA. She will be attending Midway University and will be playing golf for the Midway golf team.

Hill was chosen by the directors of the scholarship based upon the; number of years on the golf team, GPA, her coach’s recommendation; work ethic, sportsmanship and the applicant’s essay.

The Bert Hawkins Memorial Scholarship is open to a graduating senior from any of the three Franklin County public schools who are attending college and participated on their high school’s golf team.
