Frankfort city commissioners could select the city’s next top cop this week, officials said.
Commissioners convened Tuesday at City Hall to hold the second day full of interviews with candidates to be Frankfort’s police chief. The city started out with more than 50 applicants for the position, which has been held since February by interim Chief Chuck Adams, and have been working to whittle down the list.
By the end of the last day scheduled for interviews Tuesday, though, the commission had yet to reach a decision.
City Manager Keith Parker said the commission could consider the finalists for the position Thursday during a previously scheduled budget meeting. He declined to reveal the likely candidates.
