Josephine Sculpture Park’s (JSP) annual SoundScape! Music Festival will be Saturday, June 8 from 6 p.m. to midnight!
In celebration of JSP’s 10th anniversary, there will be more music than ever. The event is general admission event. Bring your comfy camp chairs and blankets (or just plan to dance!) and arrive early to claim your spot at the outdoor amphitheater.
Frankfort youth performers will be the Karebears from The Kings Center, Webb Twins String Band, Franklin County High School’s Soul Steppin’ Flyers and Emily Reed. They will perform beginning at 6 p.m.
Headliners Jasmine Fouts (Frankfort, Americana singer-songwriter), The Other Years (Louisville, old time/folk duo), Big Maracas (Lexington, Latin band) and Driftwood Gypsy (Lexington, funk/soul/jam band) will bring amazing, diverse sounds to JSP from 7:15 p.m. to midnight.
Bands will have their music and merchandise available for purchase. Music goers can also enjoy the crackling bonfire and s’mores bar, explore the park on a glow in the dark sculpture walk with illuminated artworks, tour the night sky with NASA Solar System Ambassador Dan Price and get creative at the sculpture makin’ station — for kids and adults!
Food will be provided by Mi Fiesta and Sweet T’s Tasty Dog & Soul. Other vendors are West Sixth Brewing and Taylor Belle’s ice cream. There is something for everyone.
The cost is $10 per car to park! Kentucky Employees Credit Union is sponsoring the event.
