A Frankfort company is developing land at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and the East-West Connector.
This week, two readers asked about the construction project, which is across from Athletic Drive.
According to the Franklin County Property Valuation Administrator’s Office, the 42-acre tract is owned by New Rope LLC. Frankfort Realtor Taylor Marshall is one of the owners of the company and confirmed that New Rope is developing the land, which is zoned for commercial and residential use.
“We are developing it for a new project. Not sure what it will be yet,” Marshall said.
New Rope bought the land in July 2018 for $45,000 according to the PVA website. Before that, New Rope and CREI Group LLC both owned the property. Marshall was an owner in CREI and said that the transfer to New Rope was an effort to consolidate LLCs. The PVA values the land at $100,000 for tax purposes.
