8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Billiards
10:30 a.m.: Bingocize with Carla. Bingocize strategically combines the game of bingo, exercise and/or health education. Carla Carter with the Franklin County Extension Office will lead the three-in-one activity.
2 p.m.: Tai Chi for Arthritis. If practiced regularly, Tai Chi for Arthritis can benefit seniors in several ways: improved balance, decreased risk of high blood pressure, improved physical strength, improved sleep quality and better overall physical and emotional well-being.
Tuesday
8:30 a.m-3:30 p.m.: Billiards
10 a.m.: Blood Pressure Check. Robin will check blood pressures.
10 a.m.: Knitting and Crochet. Bring your latest knitting or crochet project and join the group. Or if you want to learn to knit or crochet, join the group.
11 a.m.: March for Meals. To recognize the importance of Meals on Wheels, community and civic leaders will join us to serve meals.
1:30 p.m.: Beginning Glitterbugs. Come Join the Dance! The Glitterbugs will lead a beginner class for those who want to try something new and have fun and fellowship at the same time. If you can walk, this is perfect for you because dancing is walking, changing weight (something to learn) to music. The class will start slowly and build. Nothing is impossible. It just takes time and willingness to try.
2 p.m.: Telephone Bingo. If you’re a member, secure two Bingo cards. On any Tuesday, call 859-474-2189 at 2 p.m. Cheryl will tell you what to do.
2:30 p.m.: Glitterbugs. For more advanced dancers but they promise to engage your mind, body and spirit.
Wednesday
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Billiards
10:30 a.m.: Exercise with Karen low impact aerobics. This 45-minute class is designed to help increase strength, range of motion and flexibility for people of all skill levels. Each person has a chair which may be used for the whole class, balance exercises, or whenever necessary.
10 a.m.: The Good Ole Boys will sing all types of music for your enjoyment. Join us for a great morning of listening and dancing.
11 a.m.: Shawn Louden with Humana will help celebrate March birthdays with those who share March birthdays.
12:30-3:30 p.m.: Bridge. If you like to play bridge, you’d like this group.
1:30 p.m.: Center Book Club. This month’s selection is "Bridge to Haven" by Francine Rivers. Stop by the center to pick up a book to read, then join the group today.
Thursday
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Billiards
10:15 a.m.: Chair Yoga. Chair Yoga, which can be done while seated or standing, helps to improve muscle strength and flexibility, balance and coordination without risking muscle strain. Chair yoga also helps to reduce stress since the movements are meditative and promote relaxation.
10 a.m.: The Capital Steppers are back! Come enjoy this high-stepping line dancing group.
Friday
8-10 a.m.: Free Food Friday. This is a drive-thru service. Please stay in your car until staff/volunteers direct you to shop the food donations we’ve received from our God’s Pantry partners. Based on what the center has received from our partners during the week, the staff and volunteers will tell you how much/what kinds of food you may select. Walk through service begins at 10 a.m.

No consumer complaints about individual businesses. If you’ve had a bad experience with a private business or organization, contact the Better Business Bureau or the government agency that regulates that business. If you believe the actions of a private business are newsworthy, contact us at news@state-journal.com and we will consider whether news coverage is merited.
