The film "Dreams of Equality" will be shown in the Community Room at the Paul Sawyier Public Library at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The film tells the story of the first women’s rights convention in 1848 — the beginning of the 72-year struggle to win the right to vote for women. Refreshments and historical tidbits will follow the film.
The showing is part of a film series on women suffrage sponsored by Women Suffrage Centennial Celebration — Frankfort KY Initiative. The film is 30 minutes long.
