Marlana VanHoose, who has thrilled people across America with her stirring rendition of The National Anthem, will be presenting a concert of gospel music at Graefenburg Christian Church on Sunday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Blind since birth because of a condition known as cytomegalovirus, Marlana uses her dynamic voice and powerful testimony to inspire those who hear her musical talents. In addition to being an accomplished singer, Marlana plays the piano and says she is “God-taught.”
Marlana’s talents became known when she was asked to sing The National Anthem at a University of Kentucky women’s basketball game in 2012. Since that night, she has been asked to sing at numerous Major League Baseball and National Football League games. She was also asked to sing at the 2015 NBA Finals and has sung before President Donald Trump. Marlana has also been featured on several national network news shows.
A love offering for Marlana’s ministry will be received and the church is hosting a dessert reception following the concert.
Graefenburg Christian Church is located at the intersection of US 60 and Highway 151 near Interstate 64.
