Monday

10 a.m. Parents & Tots will meet in the Youth Program Room for children (ages 2-3), accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. 

11 a.m. Preschool Storytime in the Youth Program Room for preschoolers, ages 4-5 and kids entering kindergarten in the fall. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.  

4:30 p.m. Hands-On Workshop for Tweens, grades 3-5, in the Youth Program Room.  Discover comets, craters, and asteroids.  Registration is required.

6 p.m. Teen Art Series: Art of the Moon will be in the Youth Program Room.  Teens in grades 6-12 create art with the phases of the moon.  Registration is required.     

Tuesday

11 a.m. Book Babies will be in the Youth Program Room. Stories, songs and rhymes for children ages 0-24 months and their parents or caregivers. Registration is required.

5:30 p.m. Parents & Tots will be in the Youth Program Room. Young children (ages 2-3), accompanied by an adult, are introduced to simple stories, finger plays and activities. Registration is required. 

6:30 p.m. Preschool Storytime will be in the Youth Program Room. For ages 4-5 and kids entering kindergarten in the fall. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.  Registration is required.  

 

Wednesday

9:30 a.m. Book Babies will be in the Youth Program Room. Stories, songs and rhymes for children ages 0-24 months and their parents or caregivers. Registration is required.

10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the Park for families with kids in preschool-5th grade, join us at Juniper Hills Park to train like an astronaut. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

2 p.m. Crafternoon with Diane.  Create handmade paper pinwheels in the River Room. Adults, please register online or by calling the library. 

4:30 p.m. Booksters will meet in the Youth Program Room. Kids in grades 1-2, let’s get messy with alien slime, moon rocks, fizzing Jupiter, exploding stars and more! Registration is required.

6 p.m. Yoga for Beginners will be in the River Room. Registration is required.

 

Thursday

4:30 p.m. Throwback Thursday will be in the Youth Program Room. Tweens and teens in grades 3-12, get funky and far out with the 1970s! Make a pet rock. Registration is required.  

6:30 p.m. Film Discussion Group will meet in the Sower Board Room.  The featured movie this month is “Badlands” directed by Terrence Malick.

6:30 p.m. Make a sun catcher bracelet for families with children of all ages in the Youth Program Room.  

 

Friday

11 a.m. Your Place in Space for families with children of all ages will be in the Youth Program Room. What would it be like to live and work on the International Space Station? Join us for an intergalactic experience! 

4:30 p.m. Book Babies will be in the Youth Program Room. Stories, songs and rhymes for children ages 0-24 months and their parents or caregivers. Registration is required.

4:30 p.m. Let’s Explore Frankfort with a photo scavenger hunt.  Teens in grades 6-12, take snapshots of downtown Frankfort and see if your team has what it takes to win the hunt. Bring your own picture-taking device. We will meet in the River Room. Registration is required.

 

Saturday

11 a.m. Peace Love & Green Screens for families with children of all ages in the Youth Program Room.  Celebrate the love of the 60s with crafts and green screen technology. 

Noon. Woodstock Revisited in the River Room.  Drop in throughout the afternoon to view footage of the original festival.
