Singing Bridge

The Singing Bridge overlooks the Kentucky River in Frankfort. It is the site where at least two lynchings occurred close to the turn of the 20th century.

A soil collection service in memory of John Maxey, Marshall Boston and othersĀ  lynched in Franklin County after the Civil War is planned at the River Room at Paul Sawyier Public Library from 2-4 p.m. Sunday.

The event is sponsored by Focus on Race Relations: Frankfort with the Equal Justice Initiative.
